Six fantastic local businesses are in with a chance to scoop the £3,500 top cash prize in the Cranleigh & District Business, Innovation and Growth (BIG) Awards 2016.
The judging panel of Alan Young, Marnie Wilson, Nick Bamford, Stephen Dennison and Rosemary French OBE have just announced the shortlist of entrants which most impressed them.
The finalists operate in several sectors – two from leisure and fitness, three from the food and drink sector and one from education. And the companies are not all based in Cranleigh village but include enterprises from the surrounding districts of Dunsfold, Rudgwick and Bramley.
Surrey County Councillor Alan Young, the principal sponsor of the Awards, said: “All six finalists demonstrated the innovation, customer service and employee engagement which ensured that they have been chosen as potential winners in this first year of the Cranleigh Business Awards.
“It was an enjoyable process going through the entries and understanding just how many great companies are based in and around Cranleigh. Really, the quality of entries was so high that every entrant could have been shortlisted which did make the task rather difficult.”
Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce have been organising the competition, are pleased to announce that over the next few weeks, each finalist will be featured in the Surrey Advertiser, the media partner of the Cranleigh BIG Awards.
The Awards Ceremony will be held at Cranleigh Arts Centre on Monday 11th January 2016 from 7pm and local businesses are encouraged to reserve their free tickets at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cranleigh-big-awards-2016-tickets-19544865218 to enjoy an evening of networking, and celebrating all that is good about doing business in Cranleigh. Not forgetting the glass of bubbly and buffet!
