Entries now open for Cranleigh BIG Awards 2017

Entries now open for Cranleigh BIG Awards 2017Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce is delighted to launch the Cranleigh & District Business, Innovation and Growth (BIG) Awards for 2017!

We were pleased that last year we received so many entries from the local business community and the spectacular gala evening at Cranleigh Arts Centre was so well attended with over 100 business people joining us for the evening.

We have some exciting plans for the Cranleigh BIG Awards 2017.

This year the judges will be reviewing two categories of business:

1. Businesses with 1 to 5 people (including part time employees)

2. Businesses with 6 or more people (including part time employees)

The winner in each category will receive a £2,000 cash prize!

In addition, the winner of the small business category will receive a Social Media Consultancy and Makeover session from Philip Calvert, Social Media Strategist. This prize is worth £2,000 and will help the small business winner transform their social media marketing in 2017.

All applicants will complete the same application form but the judges will now be able to compare small businesses in one category and larger businesses in the other.

We launch the BIG Awards today and entries can be made right up to midnight on 18th November.

Our Judging Panel for the Cranleigh BIG Awards 2017 is even more illustrious than last year:

HM Lord-Lieutenant Michael More Molyneux
Tim Wates, Wates Construction
Alan Young, Surrey County Council
Bob Wild, Cranleigh Arts Centre
Mark Miseldine, Surrey Advertiser
Rosemary French OBE
Andrea Bamford, Informed Choice

Our media partners are the Surrey Advertiser (who will feature each of the six finalists), Platinum Business Magazine and Vantage Point Magazine.

We have already secured sponsorship from Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce, Surrey County Council, Cranleigh Arts Centre, One Forty, Informed Choice, Taurus Wines. There will also be an opportunity to advertise in the Gala Awards Evening brochure.

Businesses in a wide area around Cranleigh are eligible to enter. Indeed, in 2016 the two winners came from outside Cranleigh village itself!
