Destination Cranleigh website launched

Cranleigh in Bloom continues to flourish

The thriving community in Cranleigh has received another boost following the launch of a new Village Website.

Destination Cranleigh has been launched with the backing of Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce, as a website containing the latest news about Cranleigh, details of local events and a comprehensive business directory.

The site was built by local creative agency Bamford Media, which will manage content and listings, in partnership with the Chamber.

Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce members receive a free directory listing on the Destination Cranleigh website, which can be optionally upgraded to a premium listing.

Other businesses can also be included at a small fee to cover the cost of running the website. Clubs, charities and organisations will be listed free of charge.

The site has been designed as a ‘one stop shop’ for local residents, visitors and newcomers to the village, providing useful information and links. It will promote the range of independent retailers, visitor attractions and leisure activities Cranleigh has to offer.

Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce president Rosemary French OBE commented:

The recent closure of the Cranleigh Village website, which was maintained by the Parish Council, left a significant online information gap. This presented an opportunity for the Chamber to put forward a new independent website to serve as a valuable hub for local information.

Cranleigh has so much to offer residents and visitors, but finding the right information about local businesses and local organisations can be a challenge. We hope that Destination Cranleigh will become a trusted source of local news, events and business information.

Local businesses and organisations which are existing members of Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce should check their listing information at www.destinationcranleigh.net and email hello@destinationcranleigh.net to request any corrections.

To upgrade to a premium listing – which includes a photo gallery, business description and social media links – please email hello@destinationcranleigh.net. Premium listings and listings for non Chamber businesses are charged at £20 a year.

Destination Cranleigh also welcomes local news and event listings from Chamber members and other local groups.
