Reducing plastic use in Cranleigh

Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce is pleased to support a new initiative by Waverley Borough Council, aimed at reducing the amount of single use plastic in our community.

Residents and visitors are being encouraged to refill water bottles, with friendly cafes, shops, hotels and other premises providing free refill points.

Participating businesses will display a sticker in their window and have their businesses details included on the ‘Refill’ app, advertising to passers-by that they can come on in and fill up their water bottle for free.

More information on the Refill app can be found here:

Well over 10,000 businesses across the country have already signed up to this scheme and we are encouraging Cranleigh businesses to take part too.

Please get in touch to if you would like to participate in this scheme and we can introduce you to the relevant contact at Waverley.
