Cranleigh Christmas Lights Switch-On 2017

Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce is delighted to be hosting the Cranleigh Christmas Lights 2017 Switch-On Event again this year.

This free family event takes place on Saturday 18th November 2017.

Programme of events

From midday onwards in the High Street:

Mulled wine aboard the Tiger Lily Bus Company vintage bus.

Fun fair rides from Benson’s Funfairs.

Children’s entertainment from Poppy’s Parties.

From 2pm in Stocklund Square:

Continental Market featuring authentic French and Italian market stalls.

4pm – 5pm in Stocklund Square:

Live performance by the Godalming Band.

From 5pm in Fountain Square:

Our programme of live entertainment on the Bulletstage airstream caravan stage, hosted by DJ Dobba and featuring music by Park Mead School Ukulele Band, sing-a-along carols with Godalming Band, and Lucina performing songs from her new album.

6.25pm in Fountain Square:

The big countdown starts with Father Christmas, local schoolboy Oscar Lewington and a Channel 4 Reality Star, switching on the Cranleigh Christmas Lights at 6.30pm.

6.30pm in Fountain Square:

Cranleigh Christmas Lights Switch-On followed by a live performance of a very special debut Christmas single, being filmed live for a Channel 4 Christmas Special.

DJ Dobba will be playing Christmas tunes in Fountain Square until 7.30pm.

10am – 1pm Christmas Tombola at Cranleigh Library

11.30am – 5.30pm Visit Santa’s Grotto in Manns of Cranleigh

12pm – 2pm Mini Christmas Tree Giveaway at Informed Choice

1.30pm Frozen Sing-a-long at Cranleigh Arts Centre

Road Closures

Please note the Fountain Square and War Memorial service roads will be closed to traffic all day on Saturday 18th November.

Cranleigh High Street will be closed from 5pm to 7pm between Knowle Lane and Stocklund Square, with a local diversion in place.

Please follow the instructions of our marshals at all times – they are there for your safety!
