One Forty

Three generations of Grahams have presided over our business, with Ernest Graham (my Grandad) setting up in Lewisham as a Credit Draper between the wars, it was always a struggle and there are some truly frightening stories of customers taking extremely violently to being asked for the weekly payment – anyway, things really got going when Dad & Mum (John and Kathleen) moved out to Cranleigh in 1959 and took over a small, slightly shambolic children’s wear shop next to the railway station.
